Awesome, I will do my best to manipulate my work schedule so I can be there. If not, I'll still shell out the 20 bones to put toward St. Charles Parish/Charity. Every extra dollar makes them remember the track. SCR Woot!!!!!

I want to thank DAAMS Equipment Repair for making the first donation to our Charity for the Charity race. They dont even race and have contributed $20.00. Thanks to Al Smith.

Ok I got a request tonight and I think it is a great idea so we will make it happen. Being this is a charity race, classes have been set and awards have been donated for those set classes. However, if you want to have a seperate class for 2wd shortcourse without awards that will be fine with us. The only requirement is that we have a minimum of 5 entries so there will be enough for corner marshalls for the following race. This is gonna be a fun event so bring the kids and lets have a great time.

The track will be closed all day this Saturday April 30th. This will be a work day. If you can help us we will appreciate the help. Watch this thread for work time, it will most likely be Saturday afternoon. The agenda is to fully blow the track and surrounding areas, water it throughly, fix pipe and general clean up. Nothing hard just making sure the track will be the best shape it can for Sunday. My plan for Sunday is to get there about 7 am to water it and open it for practice, then shut it down as usual at 11 for race prep and to get the computer squared away for races. I really look forward to this Sunday and so does our Charity. Hope to see everyone there. Alvin

This post is not to alarm anyone but to inform everyone. There is a lot of stuff we can control at our r/c events and unfortunately weather is not one of them of course. With that being said I have already been watching the weather for next weekend and there is a chance of rain for Sunday but the weather is supposed to be beautiful on Saturday. Alejandro and I will watch the weather forecast and by Wednesday we will make an educated decision on weather to have the Charity race on Sunday as planned or Saturday to dodge the rain. I am sure this will be a problem for some and a blessing for others. The important thing is to have this Charity event on whatever day mother nature lets us. We had rain dates picked out for later weekends but they would conflict with other races now.
The weather forecast will be the single deciding factor in this possible change. The race IS still on for Sunday as of now.
Thanks for all of your support, Alvin

Is 8 to 11 enough time for practice? If so then 8 to 11. If not I can get there even earlier to open it earlier. Yall let me know, I can have it open by 7 or 8 either way. It will close for practice at 11 sharp though and so will registration. If you cant be there by 11 but do still plan on racing then eith give a friend a call to sign you up or post it on this thread and we will put you in the computer.
