B*t*h if you wouldn't have to stay in a FIVE STAR HOTEL with a Olympic size pool and free continental breakfast when you go out of town, maybe you could afford it my brother. And remember we are talking about the 1/8 Scale Shootout Race on May 7 2011. That is a one day race, and entry fee's are $25.00 first class $15 for the second my brother. Wow! Are you serious? They were gonna bring a whole 2 entries?! He can take "sorry" and shove it up his ###. For there 2 big races we (louisiana) brought at least 75 entries. I hope everyone thinks of that when they have more races and want us to go back. Why doesnt finishline or scr put on a race on this date and we can support the people who support us. Even though i could't make it this past weekend I did come for the warm up race. I'm pretty sure I've also made it to all of their other big events including 2 cajun classics, larcs, and even corr cross (I won the stock class!). I kinda understand your point Brady, but trying to discourage an event at flowood is basically screwing me out of decent size turn out that i don't have to drive atleast 3 1/2 hours for. So if it helps you can count my entries in south louisiana races the past few years (atleast 30 if you're counting each class) towards flowoods attendance.

Guys, I have read all of your threads and am hearing what you are saying. First of all I want to thank all of you for supporting the racing in Mississippi. I only wish we had racers in Mississippi like you guys. Six years ago Leighton Dillard and I did everything we could to bring R/C Racing here by building a track and starting a club. Six years later, Leighton is not with us any longer, I have talked the city into building the finest indoor R/C track money can build, I am there 70 hours a week 7 days a week (unpaid) and I can only name 7 guys that race 1/8 scale on a regular basis from here. I begged those seven to consider going with Mike and I to the Louisiana State Championship Race. I had paid my entry fee and rented a hotel in Denham Springs. I was going to rely on three of the seven to run Flowood R/C for me while I was there with you. Mike Morris and I had the trailer packed and we looked so forward to being with you. Mike had something personal come up on Thursday night at the last minute. It could not be helped. We both truly wanted to be there and you can imagine how we both felt but this had to do with his kids and it could not be helped. I am sorry and nobody wants to hear it but I am 64 years old and I just could not make that trip by myself.
I hope and pray that the Flowood R/C Indoor Park will survive. All the city wants is for it to break even. If it were in Louisiana, it would survive, here, I am not so sure. I am thankful that I am in a position to be able to do this without having to be paid, but I retire from my business September 16,2011 and I will have to have some income at that point. I don't know what the future holds for R/C racing in Mississippi, but if the track does not make it, I will be able to come and race with you guys because there won't be a track here.
My hope and prayer is to get more kids involved in R/C. They are the future of R/C. I do not have one kid racing 1/8 scale R/C at our facility. I have spent the last two weeks going to schools handing our flyers to get more kids to the track hoping they will get started with a short course truck. Mike and I are doing birthday parties for kids 6 to 12 years of age and we are booked with 2 every Sunday and are now booking them on our days we are closed, Tues and Wed. We want kids to race with us but we are having to start from scratch. Please believe me we want any and all kids racing. If you guys will bring enough kids for us to have a class, we will do anything and I mean anything to do a class for them but you know how it is, we have to have a certain number to have a class. I am open to suggestions and advice anytime.
I want more than anything for the Flowood R/C Indoor Park to continue after I am gone, but I really don't know if it can survive and I know it cannot survive without your support. I want to thank all of you that have supported us and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, I love seeing all you guys and hope you will come race with us. If you cannot for any reason, I do understand. I am just doing evernthing I can to make R/C better for everyone.
Thank You All, Bubba

Isn't AMS and southern nats entry about the same as bring the heat? And at southern nats isn't it about 10$-$40 a day to have a pit spot? Unless you have a trailer and generator and park it in the grass?...id expect bring the heat to at least be as big as southern nats. And I heard there was a massive goody bag at bring the heat too. And Drake and pavidis are supposed to do a Q and A session aswell right? They are all 3 pricy and im not saying any are worth it. But just brought it up cause these are 3 really big races most around here plan to attend and all priced about the same...beside paying for a pit spot.
