whats up every body, im hopefully goin to start racing here in the next few months and im going to be running a losi 8ight 2.0 with a js innova .21 and was wondering if i could get some advice on how to decide which servos i need, how to decide what to adjust on suspension and shocks and when to use certain types of tires and foams. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Ive tried reading up on it and it seems like i might as well be reading in a second language maybe yall can put it into terms a beginner can understand.
im going to start racing at scr if that helps any.

I use Hitec HS-7955TG servo's in my Losi Buggy. As for shocks and oil I ran 40 to 42.5 front stock springs and 30 to 25 rear with black springs depending on time of year. Tires I was using Proline recoils soft and AKA Grid Irons all with AKA red closed cell foams you can check with a few other on this site they could tell you what's the best tire there using to date. Hope this info helps and hope to race with you soon.

I use radio post servos the red version on my throttle and steering. There are many different brands. You would want to get a high voltage servo so u can use lipos now or later on. Tires vary from every track. also if its dry and loose or damp. I like the use gridirons on my buggy at scr when it's damp and crosse brace when it's loose. If your new to the offroad racing scene I would not worry about setup just yet besides a good set of tires. Stick with the stock setup so u will have a starting point. that what i would do. Come out and race to get use to driving. If u cant drive a setup won't help very much

thanks, but as far as the servos go do i need to go ahead and get some of the best or tone it down a bit just to get used to to the feel of racing. i just dont want to spend that kind of money and little rookie mistakes destroy them

If u buy cheap servos now ur going to have to buy better stuff later on as u get better driving or they will break

i was actually looking at the mbx6r you have for sale and was really interested but i dont have the extra money for a decent radio, receiver and starter box. i have an ofna starter box some older futaba servos and a dynamite .21 to put on it but not a decent radio

Ok cool.. There a couple people with the rtr version..The servos will work for now but they can only handle so much. If we're racing the weekend at scr and if u have the buggy by then I can help u make sure the servos are adjusted right so they don't get strained. I also have a spektrum radio. U can get a decent radio I think for about 150 but it will be the basics

im not sure if ill have that one by then but i might bring my duratrax 835b to see how it does it just seems like more of a basher than a racer, plus the supertigre .27 just isnt as smooth as the .21

Yes your on track. If you have any more question just let us know. And Welcome to the world of offroad racing lol. Very addictive
Yea I think the .27 is more of an dirt oval motor it's got a lot of top end power
