Here goes we have a total of four track's here in south la.So by all right should have about 4 big flagship race's a year 1 at each track. There is alot of open weekend's a month right. So my question to these 4 promoter's or club's or track owner's why can't you not jump on top of the other track. All this does is hurt each other.I mean 4 track's and 4 big race's a year and yall jump on top of each other all this does is hurt yall.Get it together guy's.
here's some example's
Action been working on there big race for awhile. And now there is talk of another track just throwing a local race in on sunday at the last minute.True the people that would go and race that local wouldn't attened the race at action. It's just disrepectful to the guy's that worked their but off to plan this race. This should be there weekend.
SCR has had a charity race planned for awhile also and now they are getting jumped on top of.Again not cool
These are the track's guy's.There is ACTION RACEWAY
FINISHLINE RACEWAY
SCR RACEWAY
RC POWER
That is a total of four track's with one big race planned a year. That's 4 weekend's.Out of all the weekend's a year why would you jump on top of another race.It takes away from the race.
The track owner's,track promotor's or club's need to learn how to respect each other's big race and let them have their own weekend for their flagship race.Track's jumping on top of each other just hurts the sport.
If this post offend's anyone sorry but it's the truth learn to work togeather and the sport will grow.Keep jumping on top of each other and the great sport won't go anywhere.

well looks like state champ's has been jumped on also.Man this is crazy. You may like me or not i really don't care but when i think something has been done wrong i will voice my opinion on the matter. And this jumping on top of race's is stupid this is exactly why the 4 TRACK's have such a hard time getting togeather.
All i'm saying is what goes around come's around.

Also a big thank's to the finishline crew for changing their date on the warm up race.SCR will be having a charity race that weekend.Thank's to finishline for showing RESPECT for that race.A step in the right direction for sure.
Finishline and Action really do a great job promoting great race's.And really do a great job of trying not to step on other race's.So a big thank's for trying to move the sport forward.

Yes, thankyou finishline. I dont want this to turn into a bash SCR thread so I would like to just state a few facts about what members brought up at the meeting and validated their decision to race Sunday 1- We are very confident that no mater what we decided it would not affect the State race in any way. SCR racers that are planning on going to the state race will still go to the state race. One of our racers that is going was at the meeting last night and will still be in watson this weekend. 2- SCR has the biggest 4wd shoutcourse following in the south and there is no class at the state race for that. 3- SCR has the biggest kids class in the south and none of the parents are planning on going to a two day race for their child to run a 12 and under class. 4- We have 2 racers in wheel chairs and there is no handicap ramp at the state race. 5- This is the last weekend for one our fellow racers that is moving out of state to race with us. Just wanted the members of our club to be heard and I hope that everyone can see that this "club race" was not scheduled in bad taste to make any attemp to interfere with the state race. So once again good luck to the SCR guys going to the state race, be careful, and most of all, have fun!

So once again good luck to the SCR guys going to the state race, be careful, and most of all, have fun! I am a big believer in racing at what track you choose and when you want to. I don't think SCR having a race on the same day as the State Champ race will affect the turnout at all. But I do need to comment on some of the points Alvin stated, and this is how I feel, so to be clear I am speaking for Chris Brown not Action Hobbies. (1- We are very confident that no mater what we decided it would not affect the State race in any way. SCR racers that are planning on going to the state race will still go to the state race. One of our racers that is going was at the meeting last night and will still be in watson this weekend.) And all attendees are appreciated. (2- SCR has the biggest 4wd shoutcourse following in the south and there is no class at the state race for that.) There would have been a class for 4x4 sc if anyone would have signed up. If at least 6 racers show up this weekend to race 4x4 sc there will be a class setup but the trophies will have to be given to winners at another time, hence one of the many reason's we asked everyone to signup on RC Signup. (3- SCR has the biggest kids class in the south and none of the parents are planning on going to a two day race for their child to run a 12 and under class.) Two day races are not for everyone, so I can respect anyones decision to race or not race for whatever reason they choose. Glad to see SCR has such a large kids class, as in anything else they are the future. (4- We have 2 racers in wheel chairs and there is no handicap ramp at the state race.) I assure you if this was an issue that kept any racers from coming we would have made sure to accomadate them, it just has never been an issue before, again my opinion. This is something that needs to be addressed in my opion though. (5- This is the last weekend for one our fellow racers that is moving out of state to race with us.) I wish him good luck for the future and hope everyone enjoys their last race with a friend and fellow racer. I don't want to see this turn into a bash Action Hobbies thread either, some of the points made above seem to insinuate if Action had done this or that it would have made a difference. I would rather just hear someone say, hey as a group we want to race this Sunday at our home track. See yall at the Charity Race. Chris

It wasnt my intention to schedule the RC PRO warmup on the same weekend as SCR's benefit . Despite what anyone thinks. This race is being heavily advertised on all the TX threads to try and get those guys here. The date chosen as well as the new date had more to do with the april date being on the same date as RC PRO at Wolfpack and a bunch of the guys we are trying to attract going there. The new date doesnt conflict with any races .
I am glad this issue has worked out the way it has
I am going to add this but take it at face value......Not ment to offend anyone , but I know somebody will get butthurt.
It has become increasingly hard to host club racing for FLR , and others as well . "Event " races seem to be the only way to get enough people to show up these days.BUT Event races wipe out racers from club racing for a week or 2 before the event and usually a week after the event. Then throw in a "warmup" race the weekend before the event and now there is no racing at the other venues for the whole month! FLR hasnt been able to cover its overhead YET this year and most of last year for that matter.. The only thing we have to look forward for Corey to kinda even out is RC PRO and The Louisiana Nitro Open , and while pro series is sure to be a success we can only hope the LNO does well.
If racers dont travel to other tracks then none of us has a decent turnout to speak of. WE HAVE TO TRY AND WORK TOGETHER and stop trying to just attract the other tracks racers.
There it is , take it for what its worth

First of all, thanks to both of you gentlemen for handling this like gentlemen! Hats off to both of you. I just knew someone was gonna try to hand me my a** after making my post and I'm glad yall can see where SCR is coming from. I wish luck to both of you guys to get yalls local club races going, because that is where it's at! I thouroughly enjoyed myself last week at Action and do plan on making some more out of town races when I can afford it.
@ Chris"I don't want to see this turn into a bash Action Hobbies thread either, some of the points made above seem to insinuate if Action had done this or that it would have made a difference." Not at all how I intended that to come across. We are not here to judge Action, that was just some valid points that were brought up in our decision making. Not trying to bash you guys at all. I even sent Darryl a nich text message on Sunday morning telling him how nice it was to see voulnteers helping him out on Saturday. Like yourself, Lud, Jim, and Brendan.
@ John, thanks for the hats off. It is nice to get recognised for doing the right thing.
If there is any advice I can offer to the other tracks to attract new racers it is this............. Put yourself back in "Newbie Shoes". We experienced racers all too often take for granted what we know. We all started off as newbies. At your next race take some time to talk to new faces and welcome them to the hobby. This isn't just to track owners or race directors, this is to everyone that wants weekly club races. I'm not trying to sound like a know it all just trying to help. Trust me I want to see every track suceed! It is alot of work for me everytime we race at SCR and I would always like to have the option to jump in my truck and race any track in south LA without worring if they will still be there or not. With that being said "Good luck to all" Alvin El Presidente

It's all good Alvin, as you said I also want to see the tracks succeed. It was a great time last week with everyone that came out and raced, one of the best turnouts I have seen locally in a while, and I hope it is a sign of people wanting or being able to get out and do some racing. Remember it's only toy cars, so lets have some fun with our toys!

Alvin,I,am glad you talked about {newbies} because i,am one and the more comfortable new members are the better it is for the club.Sometimes new members need help and tend to ask a lot of questions .Remember they do not know as much as most but want to learn too.So lets go race and make this club even better than it is.It,s great fun I,am hooked.MIKE
