Yes sir. It's Point Series time again so mark your calendars. Dates as follows.

7 races in all with 2 drops. First rainout(hopefully there wont be any) will be a drop. If the finalle rains out it will be rescheduled for the following weekend.
This will be a money series. Entry is $20 per class. Kids race free as usual. $10 from each entry goes to the track, $5 to nightly prize money and $5 to series winner prize money. Each night and series winnings will pay out the top three in each class. It will take 5 to make a class.
*********UPDATE********SCR Board has decided to award thru 5th place. On each days race 4th and 5th place finishers from each class will receive a gift certificate for $5 off of their next club race entry fee. The gift certificates will be good at any club race and will be good for 6 months from the date of winning. Also SCR will decide on an award for the 4th and 5th place series winners as well. Info will be posted when we get it worked out.**************

Start times for each race will be 12noon with registration and the track closing at 11am sharp.

There will be one bonus point awarded for each race if you make that weeks work day. If there is no work day for that week, then there will be no bonus point for that race. This will be in lieu of the usual $5 discount. There will be a max of 5 total work points for the entire season since it is 7 races with 2 drops. The most points possible is 515, that is (100x5 for 1st)+(5 workday points)+(2x5TQ points).
Points will be based on a 100 point scale with 1st getting 100 points and TQ getting 2 bonus points. Finalle will have 1.5 x's points

We are shooting to run all classes possible. Nitro seperate from electric, expert seperate from sportsman.

Races will be 2-5minute qualifiers(rocket round), AA mains for electric(10minutes each), and a 20minute nitro Amain. Single Bmain with NO bump up.
If we happen to have a mixed class due to lack of entries for either nitro or electric, then the mains will be AA 7minute mains. I reall only anticipate this happening in sportsman buggy where we usually have a bunch of electrics and usually between 1 and 3 nitros.

We want everyone to be able to participate reguardless of skill level or class.

Only 2 days left. Track is in awesome shape. We plan on having it open by 9am Saturday for practice, it is closed until then because of 2 new additions that are currently getting watered in.

If you have not raced at SCR in the last 2 weeks(with the new software), I will need you to put your transponder number on the sign in sheet for me please. Once I have everyone in the computer with their transponder numbers registration will be a breeze. Sooner or later I will be able to put out a sign in sheet with everyones name on it and you will simply place an X next to your name and class, then I will use a scanner to scan you directly into the race. Technology is starting to make even setting up races easier

Thanks to all who participated yesterday. I just made some updates to the first post. Congrats to Michael and Dalton for finishing in the top 5 in sportsman buggy. These 2 boys just recently bumped up from the kids class and are both still under 13. Great job!
Adam and Zach, members of Team G racing both bumped up from the kids class as well and are now running in the Shortcourse class and are doing well also.
Didn't get a pic of them yesterday but Todd and Reese had fun in the kids class sponsored by Adrenaline Hobby.
We need to recruit some more kids since a bunch of them are moving up. I saw some proud Papas yesterday ;D ;D ;D

Thanks to the guys who wipped our track back into shape last night. Don't forget round 2 of our points series is this Saturday starting at noon. Our plan is to have the track open for practice from 9 to 11am and start the races at 12 sharp. For those that are interested we plan on having it all done before the LSU game
The track did get a much needed shower this morning and will not affect our race on Saturday.
