[quote author=" alvinsmith75" source="/post/25830/thread I personally liked the 1.1 springs. Don't look at the .9's as having more bite because all three springs will lock up the clutch after a certain rpm. The lighter the spring the sooner it will engage which may result in less tire slippage on take off and on/off throttle in turns. With the lighter springs, depending on your motor, you may feel the car to have less bottom end. This is because of the clutch engaging at a lower rpm which can be below the motors power band. The problem with heavier springs is when mixed with low traction the car can be difficult to drive. If I were you I would try the .9's and see how you like them. Then maybe go to the 1.1's just to see the maximum difference. Hope this helps. Sent from my HTCONE using proboards[/quote] Got the 1.1 springs on my clutch shoes right now and am getting ready to try them out at the track as soon as my battery charges. I can always throw the 1.0's back on but I am very curious as to how the buggy will handle with the 1.1's.

Cool deal. That's the best thing to do. Gotta try them to see if they fit your driving style.

Cool deal. That's the best thing to do. Gotta try them to see if they fit your driving style. Sent from my HTCONE using proboards The 1.1 springs worked out perfect. Even considering the track was pretty dry and I am running an O.S. V-Spec .21 with the speed pipe it still hooked up. I am no super expert when it comes to tuning Nitro engines/clutches but I do know that something is working out right when I am able to ride the track as good as I did on Thursday. I ran the 1.0 springs first and honestly I like those as well however the 1.1 springs give me that extra feeling of torque...anotherwords I could feel the clutch engaging at a higher rpm giving the buggy more get up and go. I have a heavy finger when it comes to driving so some may say that I should not be going with heavier springs but I would have to strongly disagree. Again with the 1.1 springs I was able to zip around those technical corners more effectively and the buggy was just overall easier to drive. I still like the 1.0 springs as well but I think I will be sticking with the 1.1's for a while. Man I could only imagine how much more the buggy would have been hooking up if the track was dampened a little bit... Alvin thanks again for the advice on choosing to go with these springs. Not calling names here but certain people at adrenaline hobby tried to turn me off of the 1.1's and well I love to experiment. I can handle a buggy pretty decently maybe they just think I completely suck. lol
