2012 RC Pro Rules
Rules, rules, rules...
RC Pro Series was organized to promote and regulate RC racing for electric and fuel powered model cars. Over the years, RC Pro has developed and refined rules to govern racing at sanctioned events. These rules have been designed to guide the development of the sport and establish minimum requirements for participation in the sport. These rules are the sole property of the RC Pro Series and the use of these rules without the consent of RC Pro is strictly prohibited. RC Pro reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.
It is the responsibility of members, track owners and race sponsors to follow all rules contained in the rule book.

Note:
There will be NO short course converisons ALLOWED to run in the 1/8 buggy or arena truck classes. If one is found racing in the class the racer will be DQ from the race. This is at the State and National Level.
Rules for the 4wd short course class are also posted in the Rules, if your vehicle does not fit them it is NOT legal as well.
As of 4-11-2012, There are no 1 minute calls during qualifiers. If a racer misses his/her qualifier for any reason, that racer can not run in any other qualifier that round. That racer will have to wait until his/her next qualifier. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made.
As of 6-25-2012, We have added the following to the rule book from the track agreement forms.
Off-road courses may be kept damp or left dry. When qualifying, an off-road track's surface condition (damp or dry) must be maintained through the entire round as necessary to help provide equal conditions for each racer. To water or not to water will be at the sole discretion of the RC Pro Official in attendance at the race based on the conditions at that particular time.
Race direction is optional, but clockwise is recommended.
Off-road jumps should be designed so that they minimize damage to cars in the normal course of racing, do not pose a hazard to turn marshals, and do not interfere with timing and lap scoring. Special care should be taken when placing jumps close to the entry or exit from the pit lane to ensure that cars entering or exiting the pits are not damaged by cars negotiating the jumps.
2013 Short Course Rule Changes
Note that these rules may be adjusted after the 2012 season and before the start of the 2013 season.
2013 Short Course Rules Additions
RC Pro has always and will continue to provide a race series that racers of all abilities can compete in.
4wd Short Course was added to the series to do that. It allowed new racers to join in and compete for titles in state, divisional and national levels.
Over the years this class has become very popular and super competitive. Everyone is pushing the envelope to get a performance edge. The most important thing with this class is to get it cost effective for anyone to race. So with that said RC Pro has decided after talking with racers and manufacturers to tighten the rules and keep it a cost effective level for all to race.
Below are the new additions to the rules for 2013.
The following trucks are allowed:
Team Associated SC10
Losi TEN-SCTE
Traxxas Slash 4x4
Team Durango DESC410R and V2
Ofna Jammin SCRT-10
Ofna Hyper 10SC
Team C 4x4 SC
Kyosho (2wd)
Aftermarket upgrades will be allowed on the above chassis.
We also know that there are sponsored drivers in this class. We realize that some will have a manufacturers name on a body that may not coincide with the make that is allowed due to chassis sponsorships.
RC Pro wants to support the rc companies and also support the racers. We believe that this will continue to allow the class to grow at the local, divisional, and national level.
Name will change to Pro-4 just to keep with the class heritage.
