I have 2 other electric guys possibly going to make the trip also (Wayne, and Tim). They are both sportsman drivers, so don't be afraid to enter the intermediate class.

Alright boys..... Let's do it. Flowood, it's on.......... Jason It's on like fat back and calla-greens, ham hock and chicken wings, pork chops and bee stings. You can have the bee stings, I just want the chicken wings. ;D PS: Now that were talking about chicken wings, did anyone get conformation on the guy that cooked those wings last time we were up in Flowood. ;D I went home that night and slapped my old lady they were so good. A brother has to eat you know. What up Mario.

Guys, I need some help. Burke has asked about triple mains for the electric class. Matt stopped by today and we discussed this. We do not have enough people here running electric 1/8 scale to know what to do. We don't have three people running electric if you can believe that. We want some help in deciding how to run this from a time stand point. Would you guys please discuss how you want us to do the 1/8 shoot out and let us know. We are trying to run this in one day so you guys that are traveling can avoid additional expense. We will start promptly at 10am. What I am looking for is how many minutes per qualifier, how many qualifiers, Qual Points or Rocket Round, how many mains per class and for how long. You guys are the electric experts and I welcome your input. Thanks Bubba

You guys are the electric experts and I welcome your input. Thanks Bubba Me personally would like to run the first round of qualifiers and then use that time to judge the estimated time to finish on the paste that we are running. Maybe run 3 qualifiers if time allows. Don't think that will happen because of the large turn out. Remember the last time we just throw in a 3 qualifier because no one spoke up and said anything about it, I was bring home peoples awards that night that just wanted to get home. I miss the days when you were finish racing your could hang out for the awards/pictures and congratulate everyone on there wins. Now you look around and everyone is gone. Your right Bubba it is just a one day race, lets try to keep it that way. Especially for us guy/gals that are traveling 3 hours away, its already hard to keep your eyes on the road after a long day of racing. Remember this is just for fun, don't want to take away from that idea. I know allot of people that would be more inclined to coming up that way more often if everything runs smooth, meaning the time the race starts, ends and what time we all get back home. Last time was great, I believe we finished up around 8:30-9. That put us home by 12-1am the morning not to bad. Just don't want to see a great time turn into to much work. Its not like were not going to race with each other again, no reason to get everyone burn out for one race. Thats my 2 cent. Billy D

Start the racing by 9am. Run 2 qualifiers and double or triple A mains for electric. 2 qualifiers for nitro, 20 min A main for sportsman, 30 min for expert. All other mains, 7 mins. It gets everyone back home at a decent hour with plenty of run time. My 2 cents!

You have 8 classes. With only 10 or 12 in each class you can run 5 min heats with 3 min. between each heat that's 64 mins for one round. If you start at 10am and run three rounds( quali points best two out of three) you will be running mains by 2-2:30. If there are no breaks. That should have mains done by 8 or so. Run triple A for electric and 20 min sportsman A and 30 min. Pro A
If you start and dont stop it can be done. If all racers in the heat are checked in before the three min is up go ahead and start the heat. That will shave time as well. Hope this helps. Just my 2 cents.
Let's Race!!!

My suggestion would be 3 5min quals, nitro exp 20 min mains, nitro sports 15 min a, elec exp 10 min double A's, sports electric single 10min a's, all b mains 10 mins. If there is a tie in double A's give it to the best single qualifier.
Burk
And have more wings this time! I went to get some and Billy and Mark got all of them.

I would like to see a compromise in the races. 3 rounds of qualifiers 6 mins3 mins between. Once everyone checks in off to the races. For mains expert 20 min a main with sportsman at 15. 10 min lower mains for the experts and 7 for the smportsman.
For ele classes do a double a main formatt like motocross. If there is a tie break it with best combined times. Lower mains 7 mins.
