The sportsman elec guys are paying the same price and travaling just as far. Why do they run less? Where is this double A stuff coming from. The program I use at the track does not have such an option. even if the sports man only run one main it should be a 10 min main. In elec. All lower mains should be 10 min.

Start the racing by 9am. Run 2 qualifiers and double or triple A mains for electric. 2 qualifiers for nitro, 20 min A main for sportsman, 30 min for expert. All other mains, 7 mins. It gets everyone back home at a decent hour with plenty of run time. My 2 cents! Starting by 9am would be fine but the folks that are driving in from out of town, some have a 3hour or better drive and we try to be considerate of that on the start time. If racing starts at 9 the doors would open at 7, registration would be start 730, I need time to get it in the computer, print/post heats, drivers meeting, and start racing by 9. This is an option though and I will leave it open on the table for discussion... You have 8 classes. With only 10 or 12 in each class you can run 5 min heats with 3 min. between each heat that's 64 mins for one round. If you start at 10am and run three rounds( quali points best two out of three) you will be running mains by 2-2:30. If there are no breaks. That should have mains done by 8 or so. Run triple A for electric and 20 min sportsman A and 30 min. Pro A If you start and dont stop it can be done. If all racers in the heat are checked in before the three min is up go ahead and start the heat. That will shave time as well. Hope this helps. Just my 2 cents. Let's Race!!! This is an option as well. We have been very graceful in the past about turn-marshalling and starting heats but this race we plan on having 3 minutes between rounds therefore the next class will need to be in the pits staging and the drivers will have to come off the drivers stand and straight out to the track. My suggestion would be 3 5min quals, nitro exp 20 min mains, nitro sports 15 min a, elec exp 10 min double A's, sports electric single 10min a's, all b mains 10 mins. If there is a tie in double A's give it to the best single qualifier. Burk And have more wings this time! I went to get some and Billy and Mark got all of them. Burk also has a good idea here as well and this is also an option. I am doing my best to spread you electric guys out not only to give time for batteries to charge but also so you wont be running back to back and creating turn marshalling problems. The other option that was mentioned on another board: - 30 minute A-Main for Exp Nitro - 20 minute A-Main for Int Nitro - 20 minute B-Main for Exp Nitro - 15 minute B-Main for Int Nitro - 10 minute all lower mains - 10 minute triple A-Main for Exp Electric - 10 minute double A-Main for Int Electric - 10 minute double B-Main for Exp Electric - 10 minute single B-Main for Int Electric - 8 minute all lower mains

ROAR has no rules for 4x4 shortcourse. It is open mod except for 1/8 scale tires. FYI we will run roar rules at the region 6 race on May 6th & 7th. Come on out.

I would just like to say thank you to all you guys. You are very fortunate to have the number of racers you have from Louisiana that are truly committed racers. I am trying to build what you have. I spent about $40,000 building a track and starting a club. I truly believe if Leighton Dillard had lived, things would have been different. Leighton loved to travel and race and he was a huge part of putting together the series race we did a couple of years ago. I even traveled to Springfield to race 4 times.
I hope you guys understand we don't have that many racers from this area. We have weekly races at the Flowood R/C Indoor Park and we have never had three 1/8 electric to be able to have a enough for that class. I don't have one member racing an electric truggy. I only know of two that have buggys.
I am doing everything I can to build the racing here in Mississippi but it is going to take time. All I can do in the mean time is hope and pray you guys will come when you can. I cannot leave the facility to race like I did before I talked the city into building it. I also have no control over the other guys but I hope you won't penalize me for them not showing up to race.
I truly appreciate your support and all I can do it try to make sure when you come we hold a great race and you will want to come back. As I said before, if I could take the Flowood R/C Indoor Park and put it right in the middle of you guys, I would do it and move to Louisiana and run if free like I am doing now.
Thanks for your support an I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you.

Sorry Bubba, but i'm not going to be able to make it this weekend. Our house got flooded last Thursday and we are having to tear out all the insulation, sheet rock and flooring, not to mention mention my shop getting 4 foot of water and taking out all of my extra parts, servos esc's and bearings and everything in my hauler. I guess i'll catch up with you all at the july race since it will take a bit to get my stuff replaced, hopefully the ins company wont give me a hard time replacing it.

Just a reminder guys, we will start the drivers meeting at 9AM. I want to meet with you all that are running electric to discuss the main. We are wanting to give yall adequate mains just like the nitro folks. Since we don't have a group that runs the electric here like Bubba said, we are depending on you guys input of how you'd like it done. We wish you all a safe trip and if we can do anything in the meantime, please let us know. See you all this weekend. We will mostly be away from the computer starting tomorrow prepping the track and whatnot so if you need to get in touch with any of the staff feel free to call us at the track. 601-939-5048 or we all have email addresses listed on the contact page of our website. www.trackseekers.comBurke we wish you the best with all that you have going on right now and look forward to having you back in July.

That sucks Burk, I know how you feel my brother. Us down here had that happen in 2005. If you need anything just give me a shout. My cell #504-799-7686. Wish you all the best with the recovery process.

I know a lot of you are on your way home right now and are probably as tired as I am but I wanted to say congratulations to all the winners and to thank you all for coming to the 1/8 Shoot Out today. I cannot thank you enough for coming to race at the Flowood R/C Indoor Park. It is truly great to see the closeness you guys have from this hobby. I was fortunate to be able to do this for a while while Leighton was alive and we all looked forward to traveling together and racing together. You guys have something a lot of people would love to have.
I had a great time today and thank you all for coming. I always look forward to racing with all of you. It is always a good time. Thanks for making that happen. I will look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Bubba
