Ok guys there was a little rain on my parade today(literally). Chris and I were working on the new layout and it started raining long enough that we had to stop and get the bobcats off the track. Unfortunately neither of us are going to be able to make the Flowood race this Saturday. We do plan on working on the track all weekend in order to have it ready for the 2nd Bladen benefit race at SCR on Sept 1st. I know yall will have a blast and I also know the race will be awesome as usual. Thanks to Bubba for making this awesome event happen in just a weeks notice!

We held the Jay and Caye Benefit race yesterday at FRC. We did not have as big of a crowd as I had hoped but we had a good crowd. I am not sure exactly how many entries we had, but we took in $700 total. We gave Jay $500 and kept $200 for the city. In addition, Mugen sent a certificate to each of them allowing them a one time purchase at 55%off. They also got a nice care package from FRC that contained a new Nitro engine, a couple of The Car Stand stands, body clips, Diff Fluid, Shock Oil, Pit Towels etc, We had some good racing and Jay Bladen got to race with us as well. Chad Wilson from Hobbytown stopped by, gave Jay some stuff and offered to let him purchase product at cost from Hobbytown. Jay was very humbled by all of this and he and Cayne very much appreciate what the r/c community has done for the. It is good to see the response from everyone. Thanks to all of you.

Alvin thank you for your efforts. I know it is going to be rough on you trying to get the track built and now this damn Hurricane is headed this way. It has to be dry sometime for you guys to be able to get the equipment in there and get it done. Chris showed me the new dirt you guys are using for the track and I think you are going to have a much better track with the new dirt. Good Luck to all of you guys. Thanks for what you have done as well Bubba. I wish I could have been there yesterday. From the way it looks now I may be able to come race next Saturday depending on the weather here. Jay if you are ready for radios form Radiopost, gimme a shout and I will put you in touch with Greg.

SCR will put on a race for them as well as soon as we can.

Sorry my thanks is a little late, with the storm and everything else we have been attending to, it has been pretty hectic. But I want to thank everyone that was involved with all this, it is quite amazing,y'all are true brothers. I know it's a week before the JConcept Southern Nats. but we are just getting our track back and need to do our Benefit race for Jay and Cayne Bladen so their race will be next Sunday(9/30/12) at noon. I realise people may be strapped for cash with the past Hurricane and holidays just around the corner so we will have our regular entry fees and all of them will go to the Bladens. If you have any RC related products you would like to donate you can do so as well. I, myself and going to the Nats and will be racing at this race. The week after the Nats is our Points race, so we have alot of racing in our future!!!!! I can't wait, we deserve it after the miserably wet summer we had to endure!
C some of yall at the work day today and the rest of yall this Sunday(club race)!

Joint race this weekend. Second round of the LACRC and the Bladen Benefit race. Entry fee will be $15 for the first class and $10 for each additional. Start time is 1pm this saturday. The majority of the entry money will go to the Bladens. Also several people/companies have made donation to the Bladens as well. If you have any extra rc stuff laying around you are more than welcome to bring it to the race Saturday as the Bladens will be more than happy to take it off your hands. I want to thank Ryan Lutz and Jeff Gray. After the Southern Nats Ryan Lutz autographed his Team Durango shortcourse body and gave it to Jeff Gray, who is going to mail it to me for this weekend to raffle off a generate some more money for the Bladens. SCR and friends raised over $500 in cash and even more in gifts for the Bladens. Thanks to all who contributed and attended. Feel free to add names of companies who helped out. I know I dont know them all.
