Introducing Indoor Pit Tables for the 2011 Southern Nationals & R/C Expo
If your entries are paid by March 20, 2011, you will be eligible to purchase an indoor pit table. What this means is that for $40, we will provide you with a table, chair and power inside the air conditioned arena on one end of the track and away from the horse stalls! All you will be required to bring is a 20-25 foot extension cord to get to the power station. You will not need lights, fans, etc., only your charging equipment. No air compressors will be allowed in this area. There will be a community air compressor outside the building for everyone's use.
We are only selling 30 tables! I will only begin to accept payment for the pit tables starting March 21, 2011 @ 7am Central. Payments sent before then will be returned. The reason for this is to allow enough time for every to see this message. Only one table per racer may be purchased and only one racer per table will be allowed. When they are sold out, that’s it! Get them while you can! They will not last long.
Feel free to contact me with any questions at southernnats@yahoo.com

Here is the stall map. The ones that are shaded are reserved for people that bring pit trailers with them and need power. The trailer parking is right next to these stalls and for $10 per day, they will be able to plug into the power in these stalls. These trailer parking spots are about 10' wide. There is not any water or sewer connections at these locations. If you need that, you can reserve full service rv spots on the back lot. You can reserve these spots as well for $30 per day. There will also be an area reserved for those of you who bring a pit trailer and want to use a generator. This area is free and will be first come first serve. These will be located out of the side entrance to the main arena. If you want to reserve a regular stall for $10 per day, please do so now so that you can choose the one you want. The stalls are about 10'x10', all with power and lockable if you bring your own lock. I will re-post this map every now and then showing which stalls have been reserved. Remember to indicate the stall numbers that you want in an email to me after you have paid. FYI. The reason we charge for the stalls and rv spots is because that is what the facilty charges us for their use. We make nothing on this. Also, just a reminder. The indoor pit tables will go on sale this Monday morning @ 7am (March 21, 2011). There are only 30 tables available as discussed in my earlier post. These seem to be a hot commodity, so don't miss your chance. The first 30 paid will get them! She all rules in my earlier post. Any questions, feel free to email me at southernnats@yahoo.com Attachments:

I have added Sportsman Electric Buggy & Truggy classes to RCSignup.com. I have had alot of positive input on doing this since there are over 50 total E-buggy entries and almost 30 E-truggy entries. This will make the racing better for everyone involved. There seem to be alot of beginners getting into 1/8th scale electric rather than nitro and it really isn't fair for them to run against veterans. Also, this will keep the slower cars from being a factor in the Expert class. So, if you have signed up in either Electric Buggy or Electric Truggy and want to run Sportsman, please change your class on rcsignup.com asap. If you are going to run Expert, you do NOT have to do anything. Thanks!

Racers,
We already have 341 entries! The payments are coming in steady. This race will be a sellout long before the event takes place. If you wanna reserve your spot, get paid up as soon as possible! Remember that we are only taking the first 300 paid entries and then filling heats. Also, There are some indoor pit tables still available, along with outdoor pit stalls & full service RV spots. See earlier posts on rcsignup.com or the message boards for more details. We have a couple track layouts in the works that promise to be fast, fun and of course, HUGE! I can't wait!

If you look at the top of LARACER there is a calender right in between where it says home and logout. I added this event to the calender.

No problem. I think this calender can be very helpful in tracks being able to pick dated for races. I will keep it as up to date as possible.

I just wanted to say to you guys who are Sponsored and running sportsman at the Southern Nats save the embarrassment and switch to open. You know who you are and if anybody that knows me I will call you out personally. the rules say NO SPONSORSHIP'S and I know several people on the list who have signed up for sportsman that have sponsorship's. Do the right thing.

Just to be clear. As I posted a couple of months ago on rcsignup.com. The "No sponsorships allowed" statement means you cannot have a chassis or engine sponsorship to run Sportsman. This is a pretty standard rule among most racing series, etc.

We are currently up to 395 entries. Please remember, we are only taking the first 300 PAID entries and then filling heats. The payments are steady rolling in and we are still on pace to sell out well before the event. So don’t mess around and be left out by waiting too long. Also, if you need to mail you payment in, contact me for the address.
There are still some indoor pit tables available along with outdoor pit stalls and rv spots. You can reserve these by contacting me at southernnats@yahoo.com. The sooner you reserve these, the closer you will be to the track/arena. The indoor pit tables will be all reserved soon.
If you have not booked your hotel rooms, please do so asap at one of our host hotels. See rcsignup.com for hotel information. Make sure to mention Southern Nationals to get the discounted rate.
One more thing, please make sure that your transponder numbers and T-shirt sizes are correct on your rcsignup profile. This will make life alot easier for everyone if they are right. There are still alot of people that have signed up for two classes and are showing the same transponder number for both. Please correct this asap.
Thanks,
Jeff Gray
